Climbing the original 17th-century stone staircase to the upper floor, you enter the Suite named Radiant Vortex. With its 100 square meters, it is the third most significant space in this luxury Villa in Tuscany with pool, for its large size (families with children live there comfortably), for its structural particularities, such as the splendid terracotta arches and the skylight in the bathroom, for the great luminosity (it faces south) and the breadth of the panorama it shows. In the 1600s, in these rooms on the first floor and those that now make up the Nine-Light Star Suite, lived sharecroppers, that is, farmers who cultivated the land for the marquises of Borgo Pignano.

Why the Symbol of the Radiant Vortex

This figure, also called the Black Sun, echoes a recurring symbol in several Caucasian and Tibetan traditions. It consists of a circular center from which depart twelve lightning bolts, drawn as if moving in rotation. It represents radiant power, an ever-expanding and vibrating light, which is traced back to the primordial explosion from which the Cosmos was born. It thus symbolizes the strength, energy and capacity for growth that Villa Le Ginepraie conveys to the guests it houses.
