HOW TO REACH THE VILLA

For those coming from the NORTH
From the A1 Highway:
Exit at Firenze Impruneta and go in the direction of Siena. Exit at Colle Val d’Elsa nord and follow for Volterra. At km 51 of ss 68 turn right for Castelfiorentino Gambassi. After 1.5 km immediately after a curve turn left onto the dirt road where you will find a plaque that says “Tenuta Borgo Pignano.” After 450 m take the small road to the right.

From the A12 Highway:
Exit at Pisa Centro, follow for the Firenze-Pisa-Livorno in the direction of Florence. Exit at Pontedera and follow for Volterra for 45 km. At the junction that crosses ss 68 turn left and follow for Siena Colle Val d’Elsa. (Be careful, a few kilometers before you meet the junction for Siena and Collle, you will find on your left a dirt road with two signs for Palagione and Pignano, do not take this road, if not you have to make 12 kilometers of dirt road). After 12 km turn left for Castelfiorentino Gambassi. After 1.5 km immediately after a curve turn left onto the dirt road where you will find a plaque that says “Tenuta Borgo Pignano.” After 450 m take the small road to the right.

For those coming from SOUTH
Take the A1 highway, exit at Val di Chiana, follow for siena and then take the Siena-Florence bypass (FISI) or (SIFI). Exit at Colle Val d’Elsa sud and follow for Volterra. At km 51 of ss 68 turn right for Castelfiorentino Gambassi. After 1.5 km immediately after a bend turn left onto the dirt road where you will find a plaque saying “Tenuta Borgo Pignano.” After about 450 m take the small road on the right to villa le Ginepraie.

GPS
For those who have a Tom Tom or other GPS you have to enter Pignano Volterra or if you can’t find it, enter Palagione road (in this second case be careful as it might make you take the dirt road from the opposite side and you would then have to travel 12 km of dirt road instead of 450 m (the right road to take is the dirt road where there is a plaque that says “Borgo Pignano Estate” and not the one with 2 blue signs that says Palagione and Pignano)
