COURSES on ESSENTIAL OIL DISTILLING – INFUSED OILS – OINTMENTS – SOAPS

With this holiday package and distilling course etc we offer you to stay in the following apartments: ‘Rosso fiorentino’ or ‘Girasole’. On your arrival you will find in your room a few complimentary gifts of products made with local plant extracts, a bottle of wine waiting for you in the dining room and 2 bottles of water, 2 cans of Coca Cola and 2 beers in your fridge. In the morning breakfast will be served with fresh homemade cakes or pastries, yogurt, fruit salad, fresh orange juice, cereals, toast, Nutella, jams and local honey. Teas, coffee, cappuccino etc… After breakfast Valerio will accompany you a short distance to a farm house where Mara will welcome you and reveal many secrets on how official plants can be transformed. You can choose to follow the following courses of: ESSENTIAL OILS – what is an essential oil, an introduction as to how an essential oil is extracted, how distilling apparatus works, the picking of plants and eventual distillation of a plant; INFUSED OILS – the composition of infused oils, an introduction to the maceration, picking of plants and beginning of maceration; OINTMENTS – an explanation of the various components and passages as to how an ointment can be prepared, including its demonstration; SOAPS – the composition of a soap, its doses and various uses. Plus the beginning steps of preparing a soap. Lunch is prepared by Mara and the course continues in the afternoon. The next day before departure, breakfast in our dining area or on the terrace.
Who decides to complete a whole weeks course will learn all 4 methods of elaborating plants and their extracts.
